Who Am I?
I would like to consider myself as a dreamer as well as a "do-er". Extremely energetic and optimistic about what life throws at me, I greatly enjoy all the challenges as well as the perks that come my way. Never one to sit still for a long time, I am a squirrel filled with energy and ready to pick up and start something new, in fact, I deeply take pleasure in anything involving a boost to my adrenaline, bring it on!
Formerly a New Yorker, my husband and I moved to the Bay Area almost three years ago, and have since fallen in love with the beauty and natural wilderness of California. I used to work in Fashion PR back home for major design labels but have since taken on school at SF State to complete my BS in Industrial Design with an emphasis on Product Design & Development.
My inspiration comes from my surroundings, from simple things like a beautiful light cast onto the redwood trees, to amazing product design in a storefront. Photography has always been compelling to me, especially when done with exquisite taste and shadows (Ansel Adams).
My influences are Steve Jobs, for being a product design genius (his book is amazing too!), Frank Loyd Wright and the Bauhaus movement for their spectacular architecture and product developments, as well as IKEA for being so simple, user friendly and collapsible. My husband is also a huge inspiration to me, for his never ending entrepreneurial spirit and constant thrive to grow as an individual whilst maintaining this incredible sense of humor, that keeps me smiling every day.
My vision of hope is to someday take my marketing, design, business and organizational skills and put them to use at a creative and innovative company as a Project Manager. My strongest asset is my leadership and organizational skills so I feel like this position would suit me the most.
